The vision of the 2005 NYLT team is to create an effective leadership course that inspires vision, leadership and fun.
National Youth Leadership Training is an exciting, action packed program designed to provide youth with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops.
The NYLT course centers around what a leader must BE, what he must KNOW, and what he must DO.
The course represents a month in the life of a typical Scout troop with model troop meetings, LC sessions, instructional campfire and troop operation using the patrol method.
Participants learn the Stages of Team Development:
- Forming
- Storming
- Norming
- Performing
The skills of Leadership are designed to give participants effective skills through presentations and positive experiences.
This program can be the centerpiece of your Scouts training providing your troop with outstanding youth leaders.
